A friend sent this and I thought I'd post it here since I searched but couldn't find it here...

As you move through decisions and priorities for being aware and prepared, use the following to help make decisions:

- You can survive three minutes without air
- You can survive three hours in extreme weather conditions
- You can survive three days without water
- You can survive three weeks without food
- You can survive three months without hope

-- Beyond those time frames, things start to degrade rapidly.

One more:
- A bullet can kill you in three milli-seconds

Another "rule of 3's" I have heard in regards to armed confrontation..

Most gun fights / shooting happen
within 3 ft
with 3 shots
in 3 seconds

When we prepare we practice the rule of 3's in most everything!!!! We try to have 3 times what we may need. It is hard but well worth the effort, it has helped us thru hard times and we are working on replacing things that have been or are being used.

2 times what we need in a minimum of three different location and why the military teches it 's soldier to shoot in groups of three rounds, on will hits its mark, three rounds placed in an enemy when clearing a bldg, pop.pop pop
