Recently released you can see the specs here I don't see a lot of difference over a regular SR-1911 other than grip panels and some color treatment the only big functional thing is the adjustable rear sight. Still a smooth front strap. My regular is one of the first out and I find it accurate enough for me. So I won't get one. You can get a Talon tape for the Front strap to help with that slick grip. I just thought they would have done more.

Agreed, but they are still a lot of 1911 for the money.

I got the e-mail about this today. Looks nice. G10 grips should be a nice up grade from stock and the ambi safety will matter to some folks, too.

Well I do like mine, but I could get a black mainspring and ambi safety, G-10 grip panels and have the same gun minus the rear sight. Just not a leap in my mind.

I'll be keeping an eye out for a good deal on a set of those G10 grips once people start getting them and personalizing 'em.

I liked the grips that came on my Ruger, but I took them off to save them and put a set of Rosewood Pachmayr's
