Finished this up today. Good thing about old standard models is they have a built in bolt lock . If you disable the safety where it engages the sear the bolt lock still keeps the bolt from moving with the safety up. Flick the safety lever up and it locks the bolt and keeps it from cycling but still allows the hammer to drop when the trigger is pulled. . This one being a copy of a Vietnam era MAC built Ruger standard model that MAC had set up the same way. Dont try this at home.

I would love to see a diagram. My grandfather had an mark I pistol from his days as a .Gov pilot that was quiet, like hands clapping. I always wanted one, but I was young when he died in 1982, nor do I know where it went, and I asked.
