Have a knee surgery I have to pay for so selling my Ruger SR-556 carbine.
rifle has 300 rounds through it no steel cased ammo was fired from it.

I already have 2011 version of one of these fine rifles (FB model - same as shown), so I'm not looking to buy. Too bad you must sell it. Your price seems pretty good given the current prices and availability for these guns.

One thing a potential buyer may want to know is the serial number. With that, one can visit the Ruger web site and determine month and year of manufacture. Earlier versions of this gun (2009 and early 2010) experienced some real problems with carrier tilt and heavy wear on the buffer tube. Sometime in 2010 Ruger redesigned the bolt carrier group and eliminated the issue. Knowing date of manufacture might help a buyer make up their mind about this particular gun. Good luck on your surgery.
