    Service Six or Speed Six? I might be wrong, but I thought all Security Six's had adjustable sights.

    From what I can gather from forums, this is an early security six with fixed sights. It is stamped on the frame Security six. I'm sure there are some Ruger aficionado's out there that can explain and date this. Hope this helps.

    According to Ruger's web site, serial numbers date to 1974
