Ruger Quality control on Ruger American Rimfire

I've only shot 2, .308 and .270. Both were MOA or better with Remmy CrapLoks

Got it from Tick Licker in Corvallis. Very few gun shop options these days in this area. I would think maybe the shop test fired it or it was used except I was there picking up a different gun when it came in. I hope Ruger can make it square pretty quickly. Other than rebarreling, I wouldn't mind if they cut it down 2" and thread it while they have it

The reason I asked was I've often seen guns touted and sold as being new but the fouled piece was proof the shop brought it out on weekends and flogged the crap out of it and then didn't even clean it.
There should be very very little if any fouling on a new gun.
