Ruger MKII Hawkeye Target rifle in .223

Barrel was shortened by our favorite board member gunsmith. Stock was NOT shortened by smith per our discussions.

My plans fell through and I had intended to put a Boyds AT-One? or a normal classic laminate Nutmeg stock on it. School, life take precedent.

Gun is in GREAT shape, I had not even taken it out to shoot.

Optic is not included anymore as an option.

As far as trades:
  • I'll take a Ruger MKIV 22/45
  • Not interested in centerfire pistols
  • Not interested in AR's
  • Not interested in AK's
  • Don't need optics
  • Not interested in magnum rifles or wildcats, anything over .308
  • Not in need of .300BLK anything
  • I don't need toilet paper
  • I don't need overpriced ammo
  • I don't need overpriced reloading components
    • I wouldn't mind a few thousand CCI Small Pistol (Standard), small rifle primers.

Not really interested in shipping. I am a busy guy, I don't mind meeting in a reasonable location for your acquisition but please be mindful I work full time and am almost a full time student right now. My driving funds are not limited, but my time really is.

  1. I agree to the classified rules and terms of service
I think my most favorite trade would be:

Ruger 10/22, TacSol threaded barrel, quality red dot and a Magpul Hunter stock.

Replaced botched stock and added a reasonable Hogue overmold.

Handload recipe of mine that's proven to be accurate in other rifles.

100y target was shot left to right. As the barrel was being fouled a little the groups tightened up. The last group on the right of the 100 y cardboard was only effected by the wind blowing. I'm confident that rifle would have shot a single hole group if I had not had the wind. These were shot using a 7x optic that has a parallax focal of 65 yards. Add that into the equation and it's a pretty damn good group.

Managed to hit a 6" plate at 200y repeatedly as well. I only brought 30 rounds with me and this patterning consumed 18 of 30.
