What is Pre Ban? I'm new to NWFA

Pre-ban refers to anything made before the Assault weapon Ban of Sept. 1994, everything made after is "post-ban".
The ban lasted for 10 years (ended in 2004), during the 10 years, new manufactured firearms can not have the following;
Assault weapon (semi-automatic rifles) is defined as;
able to accept detachable magazines and two or more of the following:
* Folding or telescoping stock
* Pistol grip
* Bayonet mount
* Flash suppressor, or threaded barrel designed to accommodate one
* Grenade launcher

you can google "pre ban" there are lots of good info

the Mini 14 for sale was made before 1994 with bayo lug & flash suppressor
