Its ruger's accuracy dot. If you remove it the gun doesn't shoot straight! ;-)

lol my hunter had one too, its just a sticker

color sticker is from the factory. It is like a signature of the person that put it together. Each one has a different color. They are on all ruger firearms. Just pull them off.
