    Is it stainless?

The floorplate and trigger guard look silver, but not the rest.

That is correct. I got it used so I am unsure if it was re-barreled at some point.

Still a neat rifle - especially the chambering and the stock.

If it was completely stainless I would maybe buy it (just a strong preference of mine for stainless whenever I can get it). Looks like a lightweight profile barrel too, which is another of my preferences - you might want to list the barrel length.

If it is a Hawkeye - then it should be completely stainless and the barrel 16.5"

I don't think Ruger currently offers any of their bolt actions in 762x39, so that is another selling point.

Just a hunch, but because the rings, floorplate and trigger guard are silver, I'd bet this was a stainless gun that was coated/painted with a dark finish.
This should be a Ruger 77MKII, made sometime in the early-mid 90's. I believe it has a 22" barrel.

    Interested in any trading?

Is the bore 308 or 310?

I believe the Rugers are .308

Lots of info on the internets about how well that works with .310-.311 projectiles, which is that it works fine.
