Currently I have a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoore as my hunting rifle and it works fine. My only major gripe like many before me is the stock. Now that Magpul has a hunter version out finally, this would fix the issue, but at 3 pounds it seemingly would make the rifle a bit on the heavy side for lugging around in the mountains.

The question is I looked at the Tikka T3 superlite last night and was very impressed with the trigger and the stock not flexing all over the place. Is it worth dumping the Ruger and buying the Tikka or spending the $300 on a new stock for the Ruger? Trying to get a good idea before I potentially invest more into the Ruger.

My Tikka is so good, I woke up in elk camp walked out of the wall tent fired one round and everyone in my hunting party was all tagged out!

Just kidding, but they are very good rifles!
