Did a couple of these recently. Figured I'd share. Nothing new or crazy. Started with a pretty standard looking Ruger MkIII 22/45 with the bull barrel. Field stripped and then cut the barrel back to where there was still enough space to re-mount the front sight. 11deg crown was added, and 1/2-28 threads were single point turned at the muzzle.
New hole for the front sight was laid out, drilled and tapped on the Bridgeport.
Nice and handy little pistol. Supposedly, at this barrel length, most cheap ammo will be subsonic. This obviously works to your advantage when using a suppressor.
