    HAS ANYONE GOT THEIR HANDS ON THE NEW RUGER 1911 YET, MY CHIEF DEPUTY HAS ONE ORDERED THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE NEXT MONTH BUT I HAVE YET TO FONDLE ONE. :D

    I bought the first one I saw. It's a very good gun especially for the price. (I paid $649) The only complaint is that the throat isn't very long and bullet seating depth is something that needs to be paid attention to. Good trigger, nice sights and shoots well. Comes with two mags, a bushing wrench and a zipper case.
    My wife liked it better than either my 50's vintage Colt or my Dan Wesson, so I gave it to her! Everyone that has shot it has been impressed.

    My friend in Arizona who just returned from Iraq just got one took it out to the range and loves it. I think he said about 200 rounds through it
