Currently production trigger packs are polymer. Originally the stock ones were alloy as this one is.

Some of us 10-22 people refer to them as either "Classic" with alloy trigger group and barrel band, or "new model" with plastic trigger group and barrel band. Some day maybe this terminology will catch on.
