Why isn't shooting from prone or kneeling positions allowed?

Not allowed to shoot steel targets and can't shoot clays that are on the ground or berms. Other than that this range is pretty fun and gives shooters a good variety of different ranges to shoot at. Was able to start the day shooting clays and then move to a different range where I was able to shoot pistols. They have a Purple Heart pass that allows those with Purple Hearts to shoot for free; they might have a veteran discount as well, but not sure.

For $5 worth gas I can be up shooting in the mountains with family and not have a know all telling me all about firearm I am am shooting. I can hear people shooting at the range from where I live.
