Anyone every participated in the Rock Island Auction? Lots of guns to look through. Paying 17% purchase fee seems pretty steep unless you got something way under value.

(the prices are suggested value, Im ignoring them)

Post up some interesting items if you find any. Here is a case of Nagant revolvers. that would be cool to just leave on display like that

Its on the front page:

Next auction February 19, 20, 21, & 22, 2015

I put in some low ball bids on a few things. I dont expect to get anything since I'm not paying for anything at real cost with a 17% fee. minimum bid is 25% of their "low" estimate

I get their B&W catalog, but the online auction info is also pretty good. They do get some great guns for sale, but I have never bid "enough" to win one. 17% is actually lower than many other online firearm auctions. Many charge 20+% and seem to get plenty of bidders
I just bid what I am willing to pay with the 17% and estimated shipping figured in.
