I'm looking for a good rimfire revolver to use with my 12yo son. My father taught me about pistols with a single six which serves great memories.

I'm thinking a S&W 17, 18, 617, 34... or something similar. Would prefer at least 5" barrel.

Mostly Western Washington, sometimes Eastern Washington.

Than that rules out the model 18, they only made 4" barrels.

I would suggest a pass on the mod 34.
Good for packin', but the K-frames are much better for shooting.
Bought my first K-22 in 1969.
Still one of my faves.
There is an 18-4 in the classifieds on the forum.
It is located in Renton.
