I headed over to H Mart to pick up some groceries when I decided to park in front of NW Armory to see if they had any ammo. There was one guy standing out front waiting for them to open and I thought, "No big deal." I walked over to H Mart, got my groceries, and by the time I got back the line had increased to five. I decided to wait until opening as that still didn't seem so bad. By the time 12 noon rolled around there were two dozen or more in line! They then started calling people forward who had orders to pick up, and I decided to bag it. I don't need ammo that bad, and I sure as hell don't need another firearm at this time (but if there's anyone wanting to sell a S&W Shield in .40 cal, I'm listening!). ;)

I received some new 9MM FMJ (don't remember the weight) in a transaction that I did. I know that there are some fellows that have 9MM's and no ammo, so I posted an ad for 100 rounds for $40.00. That was the value that I figured they had in my transaction. Well, the calls that I got were from ammo resellers and they offered me some stupid prices. I'm old and don't need the money so I didn't sell it to them. Then the guy that was going to buy it flaked on me! Ha!

For what it's worth, SGAmmo must have received a Speer shipping pallet or two yesterday because they had all of a sudden 14 cases (1,000 rounds) of 45 ACP Lawman, and 9mm CCI last night....bet they're gone already even at $439.00 a case for the .45!

Probably a good buy considering.:mad:

Updated...the 9mm are all gone, no surprise, but the Speer 45 is all still available...

Well Knute, if you know an actual 9MM owner that is preparing for the new "autonomous" country, in downtown Portland and he is lacking in his ability to give a gift to all the new citizens, then have him contact me through PM at NWF. I still have 100 rounds left for $40.00.

Any store that has guns or ammo has been like this since Mid march. Everyday is like groundhog day.
No they haven't. Plenty of places you walk right in and buy what u need if they have it. I refuse to patron any of these places that let 5 people in a time or other bs. Would rather pay more off the internet. Tried to go to your store multiple times to buy some cheap lower parts and refuse to stand in line outside for an hour. It's rediculous.

Sorry, but I think your ire is focused on the small business owner when it should be at the overlords demanding it or the business will get its business license pulled. We are literally living in an era where the Government dictates how businesses will be run.

Nothing we can do about supply and demand, and we seem to have a lot of "it". We dislike the lines, the rules, the hassle, but were also one of the few fighting for your 2A rights, and thus have giant target on us at the state level. Appreciate you editing out the derogatory comments. Hope you voted some of these dirt bags out of office today.

My ire is on these artificial restrictions that people are placing on themselves.

Well the reality is, We all have choices to make. I don't have hours to stand outside behind a bunch of geriatrics/unemployed camping ammo or waiting to browse when I need a few small parts.

There are numerous other stores I have been in that didn't limit to 5 people and have a line around the corner. And many are much smaller physical shops.

Last time I checked, Retail was limited to 30% of occupancy during Phase 2. I find it hard to believe the store has an occupancy permit of 16 people. I have seen twice that in there at times.

There are a ton of solutions that could be put in place to mitigate the issues. Just my .02.

Geriatrics? Folks that got there before you did? I'm a geriatric and the fact that those ahead of you got up earlier than you did says a lot for their initiative. You think far too much of yourself. Take your complaints to the governor of the state. Don't belittle regular folks that are trying to abide by the rules.

Some of us have these things called jobs. In these things called jobs, they do not afford us the time to sit around outside of a store because we have nothing better to do. Our time is money. My time is better spent doing something productive and spending 5 minutes to order something online for $2 and pay $10 shipping than stand in line for over an hour to even see if they have the item in stock.

And don't pretend that 90% of the neckbearding from the Obama Election, Sandy Hook and today is by old farts who have nothing better to do than stand in line becuase their time is worth nothing and gobble up shipments as soon as they come in. Not knocking it, but it is what it is. You do you.

There are also these things called weekends, where most normal people who work can do their shopping. When a business is closed on Sunday, that cuts the available time in half. Many of us who work in the public sector also have Mondays off. Guess what other day they are closed. Ever been there on a Saturday? Good Luck.

Like I said, There are restrictions in place by the .gov. However alot of these are also self imposed that go way above and beyond.

Hence why its just more expedient to order from an online vendor.

Those are the only two reasons Id wait in line.
Thats the frustrating thing. You know exactly what you want. Drive over during lunch break. Would take less than a minute to pluck the item from a shelve , walk to counter and pay.

Then you get to stand in line behind Karen and Ken who 6 months ago were saying guns should be banned and supporting their local socialist/communist. Great to know all these people who have been steadily voting away our constitutional rights can all of a sudden buy guns when it convenient. Also all of those who refused to arm up when everything was cheap and plentiful. They should be the LAST people being serviced. Stupid should hurt.

Meanwhile those who spends thousands and tens of thousands a year supporting these companies and business through the good and bad times, can't even make a simple purchase becuase more than 5 people in a store at a time will result in all of us dying.

Most people that are retired HAD jobs and earned the right to do things WHENEVER they want, because 'Merica!

I was annoyed that my retired neighbors were weed whacking on a Saturday. Then I realized that we 'Jobbers' make all the noise in the world on the weekend, when we are home, and why WOULDN'T a retiree choose to keep M-F quite and peaceful, since S&S are shot anyway?

Lastly, if'n you are up against a hard break to shop, who's fault is that, really???

I understand the resentment about waiting in line, especially when, once you get in the store, you find they are sold out of what you want. So if the line is 2 or less, I'll get in it, otherwise... Hard pass.

Generally when I find that a shopping experience is directing me to prefer going online instead, I just do it, rather than whining about it and taking it personally.
