Novak sights, Ed Brown internals, grip safety, extended thumb safety, bar-sto or other match grade barrel. New grips by any number of makers. Wood, micarta, aluminum, etc.

1911's are an adult lego set. The only limitations are your imagination. Get a hold of a newer Brownell's catalog and look at the 60 or so pages dedicated to 1911 style builds. They even have several photos of custom and semi-custom production guns to ogle over...

I recommend the Wilson Combat website Wilson Combat Makers Of The Finest Custom 1911 Handguns In The World, as you can get an idea of what upgrade parts you would like for your 1911, and buy there or somewhere like Brownells.

I put a Wilson Combat Skeletonized Hammer on my Taurus PT1911ALR, and picked up 3 Wilson Combat 47D 8 round mags too.

You cannot go wrong with Wilson parts.

You are only limited by your imagination and pocketbook.

Check out 1911Forum - Powered by vBulletin and just look at the pictures for an idea of what you might like. There are seperate forums by Brand there also.
