Hello folks, Here are the basics. Grew up on a wheat farm in Eastern, WA where I first learned to shoot. Went to UW, graduated. Got a job in the California Silicon Valley. A friend got me into the gun culture there. Became a gun owner for the first time. Joined the NRA as a life member. Met my fiancé. (We're getting married on March 10th) Persuaded my company to let me do the same job from Kirkland, WA. Escaped. I spent a lot of time in CA with the folks at Calguns.net, and volunteered with my local NRA Members Council to educate the population and give them the opportunity to shoot a firearm for the first time in their lives. The community was so much fun, and teaching new shooters was very rewarding. Every new shooter that we taught said they had a lot of fun, and some folks even became gun owners themselves. Although Washington isn't ground zero for the gun rights movement, WA has a lot of work to do with regards to the 2nd Amendment. I've already done some volunteering for the Republicans in my district, and I'm strongly considering a run for a state office within the next few years. I miss the fight in California, but I've found a new one here in WA. I want to do whatever I can to keep WA from becoming California. That state is a mess.
