Yep scrubbed until Saturday. I was that kid that got up at 0430 to watch the shuttle lift off. Still love this stuff.

Same, I was in class watching the Challenger when it blew up. Only time I saw a teacher want to kill a kid was when some bubblegum had to make a comment after that. I truly saw anger and rage in that teachers eyes.

i was touring the computer science graphics lab in my college days when they announced that the Challenger space shuttle had blowing up. It was the second day of college for the spring semester.

I was also at Benson when that happened. Was at the supply cage in the hallway between the shop classes and they had a TV on in there.

The space capsule is much more roomy than the Apollo capsule that only held 3 astronauts.

Reminds me of the scene from the movie, Marooned, when Gregory Peck finally has to cancel the rescue launch for Gene Hackman and the boys.

"HOLD!" Too bad that scene isn't in the trailer, because it was a good one. The weather was a factor. If the wind goes above 40 MPH, they couldn't launch. Hackman freaks out of course.
