My understanding is if it started as a rifle, it is always a rifle. Well, unless you pay $200, fill out some paperwork, and wait a while. Then you can call it a short barreled rifle (SBR). You could get a different lower receiver transferred as a pistol or "other" and switch all of your stuff over (except the stock), then it would be a pistol and probably less hassle than the SBR route.

Good luck!

Optionally, just build a pistol and have both!

I guess you're right about price. These use to be $60ish or 2 for $100 when they ran a sale. Looks like covid inflation to me. At least these are in stock at Portland store.

ANDERSON MFG LOWER STRIP 5.56

:s0140::s0140: 80 bucks for a Anderson, I remember when they were pumping them out for $24.95 not that long ago.

I have few suggestion for anyone going this route...

1) Build immediately, that way any issues can be dealt with immediately.
2) Get a good LPK and test their fit prior to hammering on the build.
3) Do not stack these deep, it would be not conducive with 1 & 2.

I'm so glad I'm not in AR buy mode.

Yes, I paid $29ea for the last 3 I bought. But that was before the socialist/commies/snowflakes started rioting.
