As SHOT Show opens, eyes on industry, politics

A few hours ahead of Sunday’s final Democrat debate before the Iowa caucuses, a veteran in the gun industry on his way to check progress on his booth at the 2016 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas had an interesting observation about guns, and how people feel about the Second Amendment.

You should post the whole article in here or write for a different source.

That guy comes here and tries to get people to go over there. I never click his links anymore as my machine blows up with pop-ups.

Personally I like Dave's writing, all I run is Firefox and Ghostery and have not seen one ad or pop up.

Very scary stuff here. Why on earth would Hillary Clinton be in favor of outlawing firearms being transported in checked baggage on Amtrak trains?

What the hell would doing that accomplish???? o_O

Same for me Tbucket, and I use Chrome. Chrome's default setting is to block all pop-ups.

I don't get a single pop-up or ad either. This is hardly rocket science.

Yawn. Don't see anything special about the Ruger American Pistol. Interesting, though, that it is being released in 9mm and .45 ACP, but not .40 S&W. What does that imply??

And a 2 inch barrel 357 magnum revolver that is the smallest and most compact one on the market? I'm not sure what Kimber was thinking. They both look like duds to me.

Savage announced new models of the A17 autoloader:

    http://www.rifleshootermag.com/shot-show-2016/new-savage-a17-models-for-2016/

They also announced new B.MAG models, but I could not find any detailed info anywhere on them yet.

Browning has brought back the 16 gauge, with the new A5 Sweet 16:

Walther has update their compact PPS model to the new PPS M2. It has the new, improved ergonomics already introduced on other Walther pistols, and it switches to using a push button magazine release.

Dave does good work but I won't go to the "Examiner" because of the BS pop up crap. I am on Mozilla and still get them.
I wish he would give us a safer link, but obviously he's doing good enough business as is.

Examiner doesn't really pay worth squat, but it has reach to a lot of people.

NSSF’s Sanetti issues call to action; F&F story back in headlines

The president of the National Shooting Sports Foundation last night issued a call to action during his annual State of the Industry address just hours after a federal judge ruled that the Justice Department could not claim executive privilege to withhold documents tied to the Fast and Furious scandal.

I sure hope not, as that sure would be one humongous AR-15 to be able to shoot that!

Seriously, the bullet is a .257 caliber 100 gr A-Square. And muzzle velocity is quoted as being 2,650 fps, for 1,559 ft/lbs of energy at the muzzle.
