Thank you all who worked tirelessly on this grassroots effort, this has been an awakening among us freedom loving Americans that we cannot rely on any Orgs to do our bidding.

We need a deep pockets conservative sugar daddy preferably with a reputable media outlet.
That's the only way we can fight these rabid anti-gun Zealots!!!:s0054:

The ballot box has failed
The soap box has failed
Many here may not like it but the only remaining option is the cartridge box.
I suggest the tar and feathers option as well!!!
If we can't even get people to drop a damn ballot in the mail I very much can not see the same ones taking up arms. After all the people are saying they are all in on this when they sit back and do nothing. Sadly looks like many are all in on giving up freedom as long as they are promised being taken care of. :(

I know, sad indeed. If you remember that 3% fought in the civil war, I'd venture to say less than 0.01% of Washington citizens would express interest in TCB like it needs to be.
Yeah, sad reality we live in.
Easy times grow weak men....

My thoughts:

1. We missed the summer months and all the exposure from major events like Seafair, State Fair, Sportsman show, etc.
2. Leaned heavily outside of King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. There are still a lot of conservatives in these high population areas. Seattle, many people who work in Seattle live outside the city proper and are gun owners.
3. Concentrate on little stuff. Chip away at laws, not all at once. Example, have an initiative to allow 18 yr old to own semi-autos. Next, tackle the HIPPA law then gun definitions, etc. Do what the anti's do.
4. Need some kind of organized membership of resident voters. It could be donation based with free/low cost membership but it would be a large voting bloc state wide.
a. Such an organization could convince those 'uninvolved' gun owners to join by convincing them 'their vote does matter' with membership numbers behind it.
b. With a large enough membership base, it would get noticed by the candidates especially if the organization published ratings of candidates.
c. Could probably easily get sponsorships from businesses. Obtain memberships from various gun friendly organizations.

Closest thing we have is Washington Arms Collectors, but they're kinda small and low-visibility, and their comms sorta suck. We really need to get looped back in with @Dave Workman , and with Alan Gottlieb at SAF/CCRKBA.

Washington Arms Collectors, the people who won't let non-members buy guns at their shows. Their shows, their rules, but hardly supportive of the 2A as it is intended.

I love the ideas & feedback.. I'd like to have a 'polished' version that everyone is happy with that we (as in ALL 2A & gun owners) could agree with and send to our respective elected persons to hopefully get sponsored for a bill to be voted on at the legislative level instead of "forcing" a petition by the public as an initiative.
I'm trying to be pragmatic and compile a bill we can all live with that stops any more attacks on our constitutional rights. Perhaps those 128,062 Repeal-1639 signature signers could 'write' their legislators and push this draft bill when we have a final version? And ASAP?
I'm welcome to all constructive feedback.

Dan

Your Penalties section needs a little copy-editing, but I'd sign that. One question: is that cap $1000 per sponsor per initiative, or $1000 per sponsor total across however many initiatives they sponsor?
Of course we know WA Supreme Court, Pizz Be Upon Them, will strike it down, but it's worth a try and it sends a message...
$1000.00 per person, per initiative. If there's 2 initiatives then it costs them $2000.00. 3 initiatives then it costs them $3000.00.
Please elaborate/define/outline, "Your Penalties section needs a little copy-editing,"
I'd like to work your thoughts/ideas in if possible. If you have an idea to make the 1k donation per initiative idea any more clear, I'm open to hear it.

I like it, clear and concise!!!
What I would like added is that no initiative will contain any subject that would impair or infringe on any of our state or federal constitutional rights.
Would you be so kind to provide an example as to where your suggestion could be included? IE: Under a given section or create a new one?

"One Subject Rule"... but that would be a good follow-up.
That's already in the RCW's even though Wyman, Ferguson and the state supreme court ignored the law. Wasn't that convenient...

Might want to include a minimum time provision to be a resident - 6 months perhaps.

Exactly. Should have that as a stand-alone initiative. Should also have one that does not allow state law to infringe on federal constitutional rights. Better yet, that should be a federal law covering all states.
Your resident time frame suggestion is a real red-headed step-child thing... Here's why..
Per the State Constitution..
Text of Section 1:
Qualifications of Electors.

All persons of the age of eighteen years or over who are citizens of the United States and who have lived in the state, county, and precinct thirty days immediately preceding the election at which they offer to vote, except those disqualified by Article VI, section 3 of this Constitution, shall be entitled to vote at all elections.

There's varying other 'definitions' of resident in the RCW's, including time frames, but I'm fairly certain the State Constitution will take precedent.
Take the following as an example..
RCW 29A.08.112
Voters without traditional residential addresses.
(1) No person registering to vote, who meets all the qualifications of a registered voter in the state of Washington, shall be disqualified because he or she lacks a traditional residential address. A voter who lacks a traditional residential address will be registered and assigned to a precinct based on the location provided.
(2) For the purposes of this section, a voter who resides in a shelter, park, motor home, marina, unmarked home, or other identifiable location that the voter deems to be his or her residence lacks a traditional address. A voter who registers under this section must provide a valid mailing address, and must still meet the requirement in Article VI, section 1 of the state Constitution that he or she live in the area for at least thirty days before the election.
(3) A nontraditional residential address may be used when a voter resides on an Indian reservation or on Indian lands.
(4) A federally recognized tribe may designate one or more tribal government buildings to serve as a residential address or mailing address or both for voters living on an Indian reservation or on Indian lands. However, a voter may not use a tribally designated building as the voter's residential address if the building is in a different precinct than where the voter lives.
(5) A person who has a traditional residential address and does not reside on an Indian reservation or on Indian lands must use that address for voter registration purposes and is not eligible to register under this section.

Does the above stink to some degree? Absolutely! Until the 30 day rule in the State Constitution is changed, you're seeing the results.

I would think it should be in its own section, as to where it should be, I have no idea...

Good luck.;)

Actually, a few months before 1639 went into effect, they changed their policy so that anyone can buy at the show. It's still that way right now.

MEH! oh ok sucks. Was in Walla Walla the other day and they had the petition out and was hardly any on the page so...

It seems that Eastern Washington doesn't like their gun as much as they used to? Dumb a**es.
They also helped pass I 594 too so... LOL hypocrites voted for universal background checks but then blocked at least for a while to not let retail MJ in.
NE Oregon also seems to have voted for gun restrictions as well, but we did pass a gun sanctuary law but the hypocrite sheriff here will enforce stuff anyhow's.
When it passed I read where he said he has no idea what unconstitutional gun law would be so MEH... a**hole corporate bas*ard. In the Company of Sherrif Ward in Burns. Counties need to elect Good constitutional Sherriff's not Socialist ones. MEH!!!!
