Gun shops in Anchorage blew the whistle on some attempted ATF snooping into their bound volumes and Alaska Congressman Don Young, with whom I served on the NRA BoD a few years ago, jumped in with both feet.

AK Rep. Young assured by ATF Bound Book request wont happen again
Alaska Congressman Don Young has been assured by Tom Brandon, deputy director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, that an attempt by local ATF agents in Alaska to make copies of bound book transactions at retail gun shops in the 49th State will not happen again.
