Removal of birdcage muzzle evidence on AR pistol?

hi all, in order to install a new FF hand guard on my pistola build I need to remove the little birdie so I can remove the gas block then remove the fitting in front of the upper where the gas tube enters the upper because it is much larger diameter than the fitting for the new hand guard. Lefty loosie righty tighty on both and torque specs? Also anyone liking the JCom type 89! On a pistol build. My plan for this build
is truck gun/ home defense.
