Remington 700 VS rifle that has the barrel cut to 20 inches and re-crowned. Comes in a Bell & Carlson stock. ADL configuration.

Shoots very well, I just don't find it getting out at all.

What does the VS stand for in Remington VS? Varmint Sporter? Was it a Varmint profile barrel before you cut it off? What is the muzzle OD now? nice looking gun.

Varmint Sporter is a varmint profile barrel. The OD = 0.84 inch with a recessed crown

Did the barrel mod make it more balanced and light enough to carry,or is it more of a bench gun still?I like this concept as a varmint/deer rifle

More balanced. I like the 20 inch bull barrels. It is essential a Remington LTR in 243 caliber
