Just got gifted a Remington model 582 .22LR bolt action rifle. I have no need for another .22 rifle and am thinking about selling this one. I have looked online at prices but they fluctuate quite a bit. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is the replacement for the 512 Rifle...
Both the 512 and the 582 are excellent shooting rifles...as said above I'd suggest keeping it.

The 582 was made from 1967 - 1983 or thereabouts.
It is good solid workingman's rifle...one that will do fine for paper punching , plinking and small game hunting.
Any of the ones that I have shot , shot well and were reliable.

As far as pricing goes...
I can't say , as I haven't seen one for sale , and more importantly , actually sold in a long while.

I looked on gun broker (hate that site) and they only have one listed and it's at 700.00 dollars....

I've got one and it's a favorite.

Before covid prices I was seeing them between $300-450 depending... you've got a very clean looking one there, plus it's tube fed worth more than the 581version with the plastic mags.

Elbow is pretty painful too. I've had some of my sleeve touched up a couple times at the elbow. Not my favorite.
Yea I have both arms sleeved. The ditch and elbow suck equally lol. I wanna get my neck done but my wife would have my nuts if I did that lol.
