Remington Model 31 Pump Shotgun?

Any of our members have one of these?

My friend has one for sale and I know nothing about them and have never seen one before. Seems much like a Remington 870 but not so streamlined. Its a 12 gauge 2 3/4 shells only.

This shotgun has a Poly-choke on the end of the barrel with a muzzle brake of some sort. You can dial in the choke you desire. Does that add value to the shotgun? How much would a poly-choke cost to buy?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Hummmmmmm..............has a code on the barrel ATT must be year of mfg, which I think is 1948.
Buttery smooth action, nicer than my Rem 870 pump.
