remington 870 wingmaster

i just bought this gun... its an older 870 wingmaster ... i went to the remington site to find an approx. yr of manufacture... <broken link removed>
my gun has the letters DBR on the left side of the barrel. (i know barrels can be changed) does anyone know how to find out by the ser# its 43XXXXV. any help would be appreciated .. Don

You might try calling Remington to see if they can tell you the DOB. Jerry Kuhnhausen"s shop manual only gives similar info to the Remington site. The V at the end of the SN tells you that the receiver is for 2.75" shells only. Best I can do good luck the 870 is a good gun.
