Remington 870 slug shooting

I checked out my friends daughter with her new 870. Had a threaded choke in
Imp Cyl . She wanted to shoot some slugs so I removed the choke. What choke
should one use? This is a nice gun although the glowing sight that clamped over the
ramp flew off if anything but skeet loads were fired.
