This Old Remington is a shooter,But a bit rough. No sights,But does have a weaver style base on it for mounting a scope.
It always produced good groups. This Old Remington has put its share of venison in the freezer.
Caliber is 300 Savage

Below is ballistics on a 300 Savage and a 30.30.Top is 30.30,Bottom is a 300 Savage...300 Savage is a Kick A$$ brush gun.

Those 760's are great guns. I'd put a basic scope 4x? on it and far prefer it to a lever gun.

PS Imho that's all the brush gun a guy would ever need.

Why do these always come up for sale when I am broke as a joke!!!!!

The 760 is an awesome gun. My dad carried one just like this for 50 years, and it is sitting in my safe now. He killed more deer and elk with it than most will see in a lifetime. The only reason the .300 Savage did not stay around longer, is that the .308 came out.
