Did a search on " Remington 725" and did not get any results! Is there anyone who knows about this model? The info I have indicates that it always had a floor plate. I have one with a blind box. It is an early one SN 700xxx so I was wondering if the stock was from the 721/722 build. I would not be surprised if it was a modified 700 stock though. l don't know what the differences are as I don't have any 721's or 700's.

Only made in 1958 with an ADL stock. After that they came out of the Remington custom shop.

Interesting that the '57 and '58 years were ADL's. The flyer printed in John F. Lacy's book "The Remington 700" states they had floor plates. I don't have any other references so I appreciate your response!
