Ok, found the date code. Had to do a little research. It was made in 1962, and also has the Remington factory repair stamp, meaning at some point it was sent in for repairs at a Remington facility.

This is a Remington model 700 BDL in 7mm RemMag, with a Nikon scope and a bipod. I don't know where you've seen it for $400 with a scope, but the cheapest I've found it from the stores and on gunbroker.com is $800, without a scope.
