All of the work was done local by a master gunsmith.
This is an older Remington 700 Action. When I had the new sporter barrel installed I had the Bolt Lugs Lapped so locks up nice and even. I also had a new Custom removable Muzzle Brake made for it. The new thumb hole Laminated Wood Stock has had the Action Bedded and the Barrel floated. Also had a Trigger job done with new spring kit installed.
Since I had the new barrel installed and all the other work done I have shot 5 or 6 rounds through it to sight it in.
Including gunsmith work done I have well over $1,000 into it. This weighs in at 7lbs without scope so yes it is in the ballpark for a good carrying mountain Elk Rifle. The stock has two post mounts on the front, one for your sling and one for your bi-pod if you choose. I still have other Magnum Rifles to use so I really don't need to keep this around.
Can come with that is mounted on it in the photo, a Burris Fullfield II 6.5-20 x 50 has a Plex reticle. The parallax adjustment is on the front of this scope $660 for rifle without the scope.
