Larue is a fantastic company and I agree with their business practices, but let's use them as an example. Their mounts and triggers are some of the best. When they first came out with their MBT2s triggers, they were selling them for $200, I haven't looked at their books personally, but since they made some changes to production and manufacturing, they cut the price of those triggers down to $70-$85 depending on sales. I would bet they make more money now selling $70 triggers and blowing them out the door (and the resulting higher volume of customer traffic buying other things at their company) than when they were selling $200 triggers.

Yea but Larue had the cheaper "I Can Wait" option that reduced the price if you were willing to wait a few weeks for the trigger. If you wanted one ASAP, you paid more, if you could wait - you paid less. I loved LaRue for offering that instead of just charging a higher price across the board.

True, and now they are even cheaper. Must have been worth it to them to lower the price.

Amazing the prices they are charging for 9mm.

This from Midway USA!

exclamation-triangle-warning.svg

MidwayUSA is still open and we are still taking orders!
However, concerns over COVID-19 have caused a tremendous increase in order volume and forced us to make some significant temporary changes to our business.
We have temporarily stopped taking phone calls and shifted many of our Customer Support Employees over to our warehouse. The additional workforce will help us ship your order as quickly as possible. Please use our Contact Us page for the current options for contacting MidwayUSA. Please understand there may be a significant delay in our response as we work through this dramatic increase in orders.
We are working as fast as we can to get all orders on trucks and out to our Customers. However, the incoming volume is exceeding our ability to pick, pack and ship orders which is creating a backlog. Our Suppliers are experiencing similar problems, incoming orders are exceeding their ability to ship, which is causing downstream delays. For our Customers, this means getting accurate delivery information on out of stock products is impossible. We are working closely with each Supplier to keep our delivery information current.
To ensure each of our Customers has an opportunity to buy the products they need, we have applied quantity limits and are unable to take backorders on many high demand products.
It's important to note, MidwayUSA plans and prints flyers months ahead of time which promote products purchased at special prices. When promotional quantities sell through, the promotion ends. Unfortunately, some of these products are selling out faster than planned and we're unable to take backorders.
We are doing our very best to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment for our Employees while at the same time providing the best Customer Service we can under the current circumstances. We are very sorry if you are unable to find what you need or if your order takes longer than usual to be delivered. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult situation. As always, thanks for your business and continued loyalty!

Even more expensive than it was a few days ago. And there's not a real shortage.
The way they act, I'd betcha they contributed heavily to Billary's campaign, and are now donating heavily to Creepy Joe and the Bern Socialists.
With vendors like that, who needs Exes?
Edit to add, you see some dirtbags on this forum coming out in the classifieds already.

It's everywhere. I went into the Salem BiMart today as their new ad was out (online too) to pick up some Fed 22lr on sale. The lady in the gun Dept said that the ad was a mistake and prices are nullified. I already had the two boxes and looked everywhere for a sign stating that, none anywhere. So I went up front to work my magic for a price adjustment but when it rang up it was a penny cheaper than the ad, LOL. Even BiMart is contributing to the price increases, I wonder if the employee owners even have a say about that.
