I'm confused. I have always had a background check ran when buying a lower.

Is this state and not federal? I took that dumb safety class online. Goofy stuff.

Right now the receivers and frames get transferred under a federal process, the 4473/instant check. In July the state will also impose its lengthy process on the transfer before you can pick it up.

Ok thanks. I knew we could buy receivers right now but forgot we had until July for the rest. I rarely buy a complete rifle anymore. I guess I need to pull the trigger on a couple of receivers I've been putting off buying. Ar-10 receiver and a side folder ak receiver. I have plenty of stripped AR receivers. I think we all learned to stock those from the 2013 panic.

Thanks for the clarification user1234

Thanks Ops,
Good reminder.

I've been slowly but surely working down my list but still have some to go.

Do the ruger 10/22 receivers (TD or non TD) work the same way as the AR's in terms of their use for rifle/pistol. Once a rifle always a rifle etc?

Where are you guys having the best luck finding AK receivers?
Also looking for 1911 frames.

Thanks

I buy mainly Childers receivers directly from them. Atlantic arms has a few receivers as does arms of America. I would buy any receiver those companies sell. Quality vendors.

I've never gotten a background check when going through private sales. Just get a bill of sale. It's what free folks do.

I voted.... we lost. I didn't feel like being a felon so i complied.

It's how I stay out of jail.

And yes I plan on moving one day. But it's too damn hot in Arizona!

AK Builder is also a good source for AK parts and build tools.

Reviving an hold thread. From what I have heard since HB 2555 passed.

HB2555 does not go into effect until 30 days after the centralized background check system is put into place and that is still a long ways away. So Washington will not have a system to process "others" come July 1st. Therefore the NICS check on others will be extended. Unless someone else has officially heard otherwise or I completely misunderstood. We will be fine for a little longer.

This is my understanding as well.
