My dad (and his dad) had a 722 in 300 savage. I killed my first few deer with it. It is the most naturally pointing rifle I've ever handled. Its name is Meat in the Pot, because it always put food on the table. My oldest brother has it now. It hasn't been hunted with in probably close to 20 years. Such a shame.

I has the same experience with my grandfather 721 kn .270
Now its my sons. Great rifles with the pre-lawyer triggers.

Dang I wish you were farther south. I'm clear down in sutherlin or I'd be pretty interested. I just had one in 300 savage. The barrel came off so it can become a 220 swift.
