    Hey this is my first post and i wanted to ask for some opinions. i am going to be picking up a remington 710 for $165 my first hunting rifle. do you think its a good gun and a good price?

    Hard to go wrong there. At that price you can afford to have a trusted 'smith check it out.

    Get a few different loads/bullet weights and see which one(s) it likes best. Then practice practice practice.
