Now that you mention it, French military history is actually quite intriguing. It's important that people have an honest look at the long history of not only the French, but the people who precede modern France as we know it.

Regardless, I'm curious about this rifle and how it operates. I see it's a bolt action, but it looks unique. I would assume that there is some specific reason that they keep this around, considering the push to modernize European military forces into a smaller, but more technologically advanced (and dependant) peace-keeper role.

I'd like one to go with my MAS 36.

7.5x54 French isn't exactly common, but I think that the FR F2 is in 7.62x51 (if memory serves.)

Correct, it's chambered for the NATO round.
