Does any one have a recommendation for the top shelf electronic hearing protection. I am 67 and have been using standard hearing muffs with likely 26 NRR and I also plug by ears. Is there something better our there? I wonder if there is a hearing device that works for hunting that magnifies sound for hearing but protects for the blast of the rifle. Thanks for your help. tkdguy

I've got those same ones, they work very well. They amplify background noise louder than without them, but they do block firing sounds well. If I had to buy another set, though, I'd get the ratcheting kind, so the band wouldn't have to be directly on top of my head - this is just to give me more options as to what kind of hat to wear, since most baseball caps have that button on top right where the band goes, and gives me a headache.
