Williams makes a receiver peep sight for the 10/22 that mounts into the rear two scope mount holes on the top of the receiver. You can get it from Brownell's, Midway, etc...

I put them on last year and I dont recall. If it had been any kind of major issue I am sure I would have remembered.

I use to do a lot of gun project but have not had time for much over the last year.

Nwcid, how was the fit on the front sight, did you have to do any trimming on the dove tail?

If memory serves the dovetail was adjustable with a set screw. I had more problems drifting the factory sight out than putting the tech sight in.

I'll add my vote for tech sights. It feels like you're shooting an M-16 with iron sights. Go for the version with adjustable windage and elevation at the rear. Makes dialing it in a breeze!
