Well here we have a real WW2-era Filipino butterfly knife with Japanese Rising Sun insignias on the scales. Each of the four handles are carefully constructed out of alternating pieces of horn and bone and decoratively-pinned with copper and aluminum pins. Liners are made of brass and bolsters are aluminum. Blade is full and very very sharp. All hinges operate smoothly with no play and the latch locks up tight. There is a small amount of insect damage in 3 of the 4 horn scales. This piece is unmarked but obviously
handmade by a skilled artisan – possibly for a Japanese officer. Measures 4 ¼" closed 7 ¾" open. You'll like it. $145.00
