Like everyone else, I am trying not to run out of reloading materials. I have been looking everywhere I can find to see if there is a formula for shooting win.760 powder in a .223. I have only been loading for a few months and it is not vital that I figure this out. It would just be economic. Thanks, Sam

www.reloadersnest.com, lists several loads using Win 760 powder. These are mostly higher wtg bullets, but worth the look up..
Here's the info I found under a quick search.:
".223 Remington

7 loads available in .223 Remington with powder equal "Winchester 760". Click on LoadID to show all the details for the given load.
(Sorted by Bullet and then by Bullet weight)

The scatter chart shows velocity vs. bullet weight, with Winchester 760. Hold the mouse over a dot to see velocity/bullet weight values.
(Under development)

Velocity (fps)
Bullet weight (grs)

LoadID Bullet Bullet weight Velocity
1723 Berger VLD 70 grs 3009 fps
1724 Berger VLD 70 grs 3051 fps
1772 Berger VLD 80 grs 2650 fps
1773 Berger VLD 80 grs 2708 fps
1774 Berger VLD 80 grs 2766 fps

Good site and a good post: thank you.

You should take up 284 guy on his proposal is you are shooting these through an AR15. 760 is too slow of powder for reliable bolt function in AR15 , and the loads you were quoted are for a Bolt action with a faster twist.
