    #2 is incorrect. It would be felonies for both. One for father for illegal transfer, one for son for possession of an unregistered (to him).

    Correct for both. Only way around this is to transfer the item to the son or start a trust.

    Start a Trust, get both your names on it, pay the $200 transfer to the Trust, go have fun! ;)
