Hello,
So I mostly use this board to purchase firearms...but I am running out of room in the safe (and I doubt I could add another safe without the wife finding out).

So, I need some input on selling etiquette: Here is the situation
I placed an ad to WTS/WTT, and stated I was open to both trades and cash offers.
Buyer 1 Contacted me 1st, and listed some items for trade; which I declined.
Buyer 2 contacted me 2nd, and said he would take the gun for cash (full price cash).
Buyer 1 then came back with a full price cash offer, but this offer was after Buyer #2 offer above.
The whole transaction lasted about 3 hours.

So, should I let Buyer #1 purchase the gun...since he 'started negotiations' with me first.
OR
should I let Buyer #2 purchase the gun...since he had the first cash, full price offer?

Any input??

The only way buyer 1 would have dibs is if he said something like:

I'd like to buy your gun. I'll make this work. I have some trades you may be interested in. I have cash if we don't work out a trade.

Then, it puts a hold on the gun without having an actual offer on the tablr. Then the details merely have to be ironed out. I've had deals that took DAYS to iron out the details, but working out a win-win is worth it!
