Hello everyone,
Just like the title says I'm trying to put one back to as "stock" as possible. I have a proper 96/11 stock with the added on pistol grip and a barrel assembly. The question I have is will the barrel bands from a k11 or k31 work? Dug around the net for a bit and couldn't find a definitive answer. The ones I have found on ebay don't say they are for a 96/11. Numrich has a front band but the rear isn't in stock. These are the last pieces I need before dropping it off with Velzey. Thanks for any info someone might have.

It sounds like the K11 or K31 bands might fit but even if they do the rear bands would put the sling loop on the side instead of the bottom where it originally was on a 96/11. Numrich's 1911 rear band that shows in stock here https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/463110 looks like the one on my 96/11 and should be correct for a 96/11 or 1911 long rifle (AKA G11/IG11/Gewehr 1911/Infanteriegewehr 1911/etc.). The 96/11 is identical to the 1911 long rifle except for the pistol grip being grafted on during the conversion and maybe some vestigial areas like magazine clearance on the stock or receiver from when it had the original 12 round magazine of the 1889/96. The out of stock rear band here https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/997340 is for the K11 (1911 carbine).

Unfortunately the rear band doesn't look like it comes with a screw and I'm not sure where to get one; you may or may not get lucky like the guy here who ordered one https://www.gunboards.com/threads/anybody-have-a-spare-k11-m1911-lower-band-screw.1079879/

I appreciate the links and pointing me in the right direction. I didn't realize the placement of the sling loop was different. I have never seen a factory rifle in person so this helps a lot. I'll order up what's in stock and then see what pops up first, a screw by itself or a complete with screw rear band. I've been fascinated by the straight pull action and can't wait to shoot it. Thanks @Char77 , I'm almost there!
