Question on Selling/Trading my Saiga 12....

Ok so long story short, I just got back from 6 months of Marine Corps fun and now I want an AR more than ever. I was talking to one of my buddies who said the popularity of the Saiga 12 has gone up quite a bit since I left and now I'm thinking I might be able to swing a trade (since I'm not feeling flush enough to just buy an AR). So that brings me to my question... What's the market like for Saiga 12s and AR-15s these days? Thanks for any info and opinions

Saiga is hot; AR's are not.

The recent import scare from the ATF has S12 prices through the roof $800+ for non converted models.

The huge influx in AR's had driven the prices way down. $600 is common

You play it right, and ya might wind up with a PTR 91 or such on a Saiga-12 trade maybe a couple used AR's. A gunshop ought to trade your Saiga for a nice AR straight across right now. Centerfire had a few, they were $799 + shipping
