Question on Colt rear sight

i bought a Colt 1911 in 22 cal. Shot it once last year and it's been in the safe forgotten. Pulled it out and found one of the white round things on the rear sights gone. How do I figure what rear sight to replace it with. Thanks

It is just paint. They will "fall out" or wear out from normal use, or from gun solvents & oils used to clean them. Clean the hole with some degreaser and dip the head of a toothpick in whatever color of nail polish you want and re-apply.

Thanks. I thought of that but was unsure as it's a hole those little buyers have. I'll give it a try tonight. Does anybody have a fave rate color?

It's white, I figured while I was at it I may paint them red.
