Depends on the barrels distance below the dot.

2" below and zeroed at 25 yards, half that distance the round would hit 1" low. 1/4 the distance it would hit .5" low.

Dot is line of sight. Aka straight. Barrel is angled up to meet dot. Once you have zero, and distance between sight and bore, the rest is math.

Depends on caliber too. My 10mm red dot Glock was flat shooter, and my 9mm shot kind of high because I always used 147gr subsonic ammo. YMMV

I sight my 9mm XDmElite OSP at 25 yards. I don't use a bench or anything, just standing, but I do shoot a pretty small target 7" square. As such, I don't really notice a POI shift, I just notice my groups get tighter.
I decided not to get too technical with my "fighting" pistol.
I do plan on checking drop at longer ranges in 2 weeks. I'll check back and let you know how it goes.
